About Lifelong Careers

Lifelong Careers is a career development and management support agency which offers qualified and experienced advice and counselling. Operational since 2011, Lifelong Careers calls the Albury-Wodonga region and surrounding areas home, with offices at 444 Swift Street in central Albury.

With specialized knowledge of the local labour markets, services, and links to employers, Lifelong Careers ensures the provision of real and positive outcomes for every client. Each specialist team member has been carefully selected to help those seeking career support at all stages of life and the career cycle.

Secondary school students are assisted to make subject selections, engage in work experience, secure part-time employment and make career decisions.

Tertiary students are supported in the transition from studies to the workforce.

Adults are advised on how to deal with unemployment, redundancy, career transition or the move into self-employment or creation of a new business.

Specializing in people with disability seeking relevant employment.

Tanya Honeychurch

Principal Consultant and Career Development Practitioner

Since 2011 and the launch of the consultancy business – Lifelong Careers, Tanya has supported and guided hundreds of individuals through all stages of the career cycle from entrance into and exit out of the workforce.

With an extensive background in Career Counselling, Human Resources, Organisational Development, and Training and Development Tanya has worked in many sectors for a diverse range of clients in government, educational, not for profit and corporate sectors such as Telstra, Fairfax Media, Tafe NSW, ANZ and National Australia Bank.

Her key skills include:

Design and delivery of numerous career development projects and programs for a variety of organisations.

Guiding and supporting individual employees and managers through corporate restructures and redundancy, long-term unemployment, secondary and tertiary students to make career decisions and enter the workforce, help people with disability engage in work, and support of mature-aged workers transition to retirement.

Currently working with secondary school students, university graduates, and employees in career transition, Tanya specialises in introducing candidates to organisations that offer sustainable employment opportunities which match individual’s personal values and skill sets.

Tanya is a proficient user of technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex and Zoom Communications to support clients throughout Australia.

Employment Services and Career Support Consultant

Individualized, client-centred career support and meaningful guidance for a wide range of clients with complex needs, helping to identify career goals and how to achieve them through understanding of interests, skills and strengths.

Jane will help you to understand your career options and work with you to make direct connections with volunteer and paid work with employers in a broad range of industries.

Personalised one on support learning about employability skills, how to find sustainable employment that is of interest, and within capabilities, as well as preparing job applications including resumes, cover letters, interviewing skills leading onto connecting with, and an introduction to, potential employers within the local community.

Jane has extensive experience in a wide range of business including large multinational corporations, and small locally owned business including not for profit and startups. She is respected and well known in the local business community. She is compassionate and an active listener has a high level of communication and empathy for each client and has lived experience in the NDIS and the disability sector.
